Padrauna, Uttar Pradesh: The Chhitauni chini mill Chalao Sangharsh Samiti has demanded to revive of the closed sugar mill. The committee held a meeting on Sunday at the Chhitauni rest house in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh to strategise plan to press for their demands, reported Amar Ujala.
Subhash Pehlwan, president of the struggle committee, highlighted the plight of the region’s residents due to the closure of the Chhitauni sugar mill. He emphasised the mill’s significance for the local economy and the livelihoods of sugarcane farmers.
The meeting decided to launch a agitation to revive mill. The agitation will begin on December 15 with a protest demonstration in Chitauni.
Engineer Raju Mall, Rajendra Agrawal, Shailesh Yaduvanshi, Amarjeet Kushwaha, Anupama Mishra, Prem Lal Gupta, Govind Prasad, Kamlesh Gupta, Sunil Sahni, Ajay Rauniyar, Vijay Verma, Nandkishore Yadav, and others were present in the meeting.
