Gajipur, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Kisan Sabha have demanded the revival of the Nandganj sugar mill, reports Live Hindustan.
A meeting of farmers was convened by the Kisan Sabha at Hansrajpur on Sunday under the leadership of Nasaruddin to discuss the issues of farmers.
Baburam Yadav, treasurer of the organisation stated that the farmers should raise the demand of MSP for sugarcane and launch a protest on August 9 against the looting of farmers by the corporate sector.
Farmers also raised the demand for the revival of the Nandganj sugar mill in the region.
