Todarpur, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane crops grown over 18 acres of land in Adampur village of Mazila police station region were burnt into ashes due to sudden fire in the field. The timely intervention of the farmers and the fire brigade helped in controlling the fire and minimized the losses.
According to villagers, they spotted the fire in the sugarcane field of Krishna Murari Vajpayee and Shubham Singh and alerted others about the incident. The gusty wind resulted in the spreading of the fire in the fields engulfing the standing crops. The villagers doused the fire with the help of tractors. After more than one and half hour’s efforts by the villagers, the fire was brought under control.
