The efforts taken by the Uttar Pradesh government in increasing export of materials including sugar has yielded results with the state emerging at fifth rank in the country for overall export.
The largest chunk of export from UP includes the sugar produced in the state. The other goods include rice, medicines, carpets, fertilizers, toys, fish products and silk.
The policy launched by the state government to promote export including the ease of doing business and the efforts taken by the government during the pandemic has helped the state to increase the export.
According to the latest data released by the central government, Uttar Pradesh outpaced many states including Telangana, Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal, etc in terms of exports during the pandemic.
