Ghosi, Uttar Pradesh: The newly appointed general manager of Ghosi sugar mill, Shailendra Asthana, held a meeting with mill officials and workers on Friday. He instructed them to complete the ongoing renovation work soon so that the mill could start operating in December, reported Amar Ujala.
He also stressed on developing a new work culture and producing good-quality sugar.
Asthana also asked officials to start the mill’s 16 sugarcane purchase centers soon. He instructed CCO Vinay Pratap Singh to reach out to sugarcane farmers through gatherings and make them aware of the importance of supplying sugarcane according to the SMS they receive on their mobile phones.
Asthana said that the mill has set a target of crushing 20 lakh quintals of sugarcane this year. Crushing will start at the mill on December 1.
