The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed restrictions on the guests attending marriages to 100 as the state has witnessed a spike in the coronavirus cases. The number will be limited to other social functions as well. The Uttar Pradesh government on October 15 had allowed 200 guests at weddings with proper safety protocols.
The Delhi government had already put restrictions on participants at a social gathering to 50, down from 200. According to the state government officials, the chief minister asked all the district magistrates to ensure that only 100 guests are allowed at marriages and social gatherings.
