New Delhi: Attacking heavily the BJP government for not hiking sugarcane procurement prices for the last three years, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra stated that the farmers are reeling under financial stress.
Priyanka in her tweet said that the BJP government is increasing the price of LPG every month. Petrol and diesel prices have been increased 60 to 70 times in three-four months. But the sugarcane price for farmers has not increased for three years?”
Her attack came after the Central government declared the hike in the sugarcane FRP by Rs 5 to Rs 290 per quintal last week.
