Uttar Pradesh: Proposal to increase crushing capacity of Baghpat sugar mill

Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: A management committee meeting was held on Wednesday to discuss increasing the capacity of Baghpat sugar mill and addressing other developmental needs. Members also proposed several new initiatives during the session.

The meeting, chaired by the Vice President of the Baghpat Sugar Mill Committee, Krishnapal, began with a proposal to expand the mill’s production capacity. In response, the management assured that the proposal would be sent to the state government for approval, reported Amar Ujala.

Other proposals passed during the meeting included the construction of a concrete road from the mill to the residential colony gate, the installation of high-mast lights in the bogie yard, the building of a boundary wall outside the mill, and constructing shops on the mill’s land to increase revenue.

The committee also discussed ensuring timely payment to farmers for their sugarcane produce. The mill official emphasized that the mill currently holds the first position in the Meerut division for sugarcane payments and expressed the goal of securing the top position in the entire state. Efforts will be made to resolve any difficulties faced by the farmers.

Ahead of Republic Day, farmers were urged to bring clean and well-prepared sugarcane to the mill, with assurances that those contributing would be honoured.

The meeting was attended by General Manager Pradeep Kumar, Chief Sugarcane Officer Rajdeep Singh, and members Satish, Sandeep, Jayprakash, Bharat, Ramniwas, and Rajbala.
