Bagha (Uttar Pradesh): In a bid to establish closer ties with sugarcane farmers, Tirupati sugars mill has introduced a Kisan App, symbolizing the sugar industry’s embrace of modern technology, reported Live Hindustan.
This innovative app enables sugarcane growers to access a wealth of information, ranging from cane supply to payment updates, directly on their mobile devices. Deepak Yadav, the Managing Director of the mill, emphasized that this digital app empowers farmers to access comprehensive insights about their sugarcane, including measurements, receipts, and financial transactions. Notably, the app’s introduction signifies a transformative shift in bridging the gap between mills and farmers, reducing reliance on intermediaries.
Furthermore, the mill is actively engaged in researching new sugarcane varieties, a move designed to stimulate and encourage farmers. These varieties will soon be made available to the farming community, promising heightened sugarcane productivity and an amelioration of the financial well-being of farmers.
