Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: The immovable assets of the Kaptanganj sugar mill in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, are set to be auctioned due to non-payment of dues to sugarcane farmers. Despite the stipulated timeframe for cane price payments, the mill has failed to settle arrears, prompting the local administration to order the auction of its properties. The proceeds from the auction will be used to clear the outstanding payments to farmers.
To recover the dues owed to farmers in Kushinagar, the tehsil administration has decided to auction three lands of the Kaptanganj sugar mill, located in Basahiya (Kaptanganj) and Dubauli.
SDM Yogeshwar Singh stated that the auction of the immovable property will take place on January 24, 2025. Interested buyers can contact the SDM and Tehsildar offices on working days for more details and information regarding the auction process.
The auction aims to ensure that farmers receive their long-overdue payments for the sugarcane supplied to the mill.
