Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: A strict decision has been made concerning vehicles transporting sugarcane, including tractor-trolleys and trucks. If these vehicles lack reflectors, entry into the sugar mill gate will be denied, and the sugarcane will not be weighed, reported Live Hindustan.
Additionally, a penalty will be imposed. Assistant Regional Transport Officer Vishnu Dutt Mishra has directed the managers and operators of Mijhaura Sugar Mill in Akbarpur to ensure that trucks and tractors without reflectors are not granted entry through the mill gate. Furthermore, the weighing of their sugarcane will be restricted both at the mill and the central facility. A strict order has also been issued in this regard.
ARTO V.D. Mishra has advised owners of trucks, trailers, and tractors without reflectors to promptly install them according to standards; otherwise, enforcement action will be taken during inspections. Vehicles without reflectors will face consequences from the Transportation and Police Departments, and a fine of Rs 10,000 will be levied. The collection of the penalty amount will be rigorously enforced.
