Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane crushing operations nears completion in Bulandshahar

Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh: The crushing season in the district’s sugar mills is coming to an end. Anoopshahr sugar mill has already ended operations, while Anamika and Wave sugar mills are set to close on April 6 and 7, respectively. Sabitgarh sugar mill will continue operations until April 10. Closure notices have already been issued by the respective mills, reported Amar Ujala.

District Cane Officer Anil Kumar Bharti stated that if any farmers still have sugarcane left in their fields, the operation of Sabitgarh sugar mill may be extended. He also noted that the district’s sugar mills currently lead the Meerut division in cane payment settlements. Payments for sugarcane supplied to Anamika and Sabitgarh sugar mills are nearly complete, while efforts are ongoing to ensure pending payments from Anoopshahr and Wave Sugar Mills are settled soon.

Authorities have assured that all pending payments will be processed promptly. Additionally, preparations for the upcoming crushing season will begin soon with a survey of sugarcane acreage, which will be conducted with the support of mill officials and staff.
