Laksar, Uttarakhand: On Friday, the Cane and Sugar Commissioner, C.S. Dharmashaktu, inspected the sugar mill, cane committee, and cane council in Laksar, reported Live Hindustan.
He closely reviewed the joint cane survey being conducted by the cane department and the sugar mill. Additionally, he instructed that the area cultivated with high-yielding cane varieties in the district should be increased.
Chief Manager S.P. Singh informed that the entire cane payment for the last crushing season has been disbursed to farmers through the committees. Currently, testing and repair work on the machinery for the new season is underway.
