Gohan, Uttarakhand: Sugarcane farmers are still awaiting the cane arrears from the sugar mill. Farmers under the leadership of State Vice President Satyavan Narwal met Tehsildar and submitted the memorandum of their demands addressing the Chief Minister and Prime Minister.
According to the news report published in Amarujala.com, “Cane farmers had sold their cane to the sugar mill based in Iqbalpur in season 2016-17. Three years have passed but yet mill has not cleared the cane dues. We demand to clear the pending arrears soon or else we launch a protest.”
