Uttarakhand: Former MLA urges Sugarcane Minister to resolve sugar mill workers’ issues

Kichha, Uttarakhand: Former MLA Rajesh Shukla met Sugarcane Minister Saurabh Bahuguna on Thursday to hold detailed discussions on the concerns of sugarcane farmers and sugar mill workers, reported Live Hindustan.

During their meeting in Sitarganj, Shukla praised the government’s efforts in supporting sugarcane growers. He said that timely payments to farmers have brought much-needed relief and strengthened the agricultural system in the region.

Shukla also raised several issues concerning sugar mill employees, including salary delays, promotions, and job security. He urged the minister to address these long-standing concerns and find practical solutions.

Minister Bahuguna assured him that all matters were being taken seriously and promised necessary action. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of both farmers and employees and said that positive steps would soon be taken to resolve these issues.

Also present during the meeting were Dineshpur Municipal Council Chairman’s representative Kabal Singh and BJP Kisan Morcha District Secretary Dheeraj Singh.
