Roorkee, Uttarakhand: After Luxar sugar mill, Libberheri sugar mill will clear the full pending cane arrears of the sugarcane farmers of the previous season. The mill is expected to clear full arrears this week.
More than one month has passed since the sugar mills started the crushing, but failed to clear the cane dues of season 2019-2020. Last week sugarcane commissioner Lalit Mohan Rayal had warned mills to clear the pending dues or else be ready to face action.
According to the media report, responding to the warning, sugar mills are taking steps to clear the dues. Libberheri sugar mill owes Rs 23 crore arrears and its administration has stated that the dues will be cleared soon.
