Kashipur, Uttarakhand: Nadehi sugar mill will start cane crushing in October, said Vivek Prakash, GM of the mill, reported Live Hindustan
He asked the sugar mill officials to speed up the work as it aims to commence operations on October 15.
Most of the UP-based sugar mills sharing a border with Uttarakhand start operations in October and the cane farmers are left with no option but to send their cane for crushing to these sugar mills.
This season, GM has decided to start the operations in October so that the farmers would be able to send their cane to this mill for crushing. The mill aims to crush 30 lakh quintal sugarcane in upcoming season, therefore sugar production is also likely to increase.
