Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Concerned over the pending payments for sugarcane, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha Doiwala convened a meeting at the Ganna Samiti’s Kisan Bhavan. Following deliberations, the Morcha submitted a memorandum to the Director of Doiwala sugar mill. In the event of non-payment within 15 days, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha has declared it will launch protests, holding the administration accountable.
Among those presenting the memorandum were Tajendra Singh, Coordinator of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, Daljit Singh, District President of the Farmers’ Association, Balbir Singh, Mandal President of the Association, along with Yakub Ali, President of the Farmers Federation, Umed Bora, President of the Farmers Union, Harinder Baliyan, District President of the Congress, Mohit Uniyal, President of the Doiwala Sugarcane Committee, and others including Balbir Singh, Harbans Singh Guruji, Prem Singh Pal, Gurcharan Singh, Parmjeet Singh, Ashok Kumar, Mohammad Khalid, Jagjeet Singh, Kishan Singh, among others.
