Dehradun: The sugarcane crushing season in all sugar mills across the state is expected to begin on November 15, reports Amar Ujala. In preparation for this, repair work is underway at the mills. Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, while attending the second day of the Aanchal Dairy Production Fair in Ranipokhari, confirmed that all preparations for the crushing season have been completed. He stated that the sugarcane crushing process could begin as early as November 15.
Bahuguna also mentioned that discussions with the Chief Minister regarding payments to milk producers have taken place. He assured that milk payments will be made to dairy farmers before Diwali. On the second day of the fair, various departments shared information about their schemes.
Animal Husbandry Officer Amit Singh provided details to livestock farmers about 100-kilogram fodder bags available at the stalls. The event was attended by Block Chief Bhagwan Singh Pokhriyal, BJP District President Ravindra Rana, Assistant Director of Dairy Development Premlal, and BJP Mandal President Arun Sharma.
