Roorkee: Sugarcane crushing season 2022-23 is almost ended in Uttarakhand and also Iqbalpur committee has started a survey of the cane for the 2023-24 crushing season, reports Live Hindustan.
The sugarcane department has been taking efforts for the last few years to promote farmers to use new techniques to go digital. From the upcoming season, the farmers have to submit the declaration form online.
The system was introduced last season and farmers faced several problems during the last season. Farmers stated that they do not have mobile phones to fill out the form online. However, the department has made it compulsory to submit the declaration form next season.
