Roorkee, Uttarakhand: Uttam Sugar Mill has remitted a payment of Rs 9.65 crore to the sugarcane committee, reporte Live Hindustan.
The mill administration has appealed to farmers to supply sugarcane in abundance. The payment for the sugarcane procured from January 1st to January 7th has been transferred to the committee’s accounts. Anil Singh, the General Manager of Sugarcane at the mill, stated that the sugar mill is consistently making payments to farmers, and there are no outstanding dues on the part of the mill. Farmer payments are being regularly processed at a weekly frequency.
