Junnar, Pune: Maharashtra is all set to commence the 2020-21 cane-crushing season from October 15. Preparations are almost done for the same.
According to the media report, Vighnahar Cooperative sugar mill has set a target of crushing 10 lakh tonne sugarcane this season. Satyashil Sherkar, chairman of the sugar mill, said that the state government has permitted the sugar mills to start cane crushing from October 15, therefore sugar mill’s Board of directors have given their nod to commence the operations from the same date. In this season, we have set the target of crushing 10 lakh tonne sugarcane.
