Wave Sugar Pvt. Ltd. recently hosted two highly impactful Farmers’ Goshti and Kisan Mela events, focused on promoting spring planting, ratoon management, and mechanization techniques, benefiting hundreds of farmers in Uttar Pradesh.
On 12th February 2025, the first event took place at the Bulandshahr unit, attracting over 800 participants. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Sri. Rajesh Mishra (Dy. CC, Meerut), Sri. Anil Kumar Bharti (DCO, Bulandshahr), and Dr. Manager Singh (Ex. Scientist, Entomology), who provided valuable insights on increasing farmers’ income and improving sugarcane yields. Key speakers like Dr. Sunil Kumar Vishwakarma and Dr. Vikas Malik highlighted new sugarcane varieties and the importance of pest management. The event also featured more than 25 vendors showcasing innovative farming products and live demonstrations of advanced techniques such as trench planting and trash mulching.
A second successful event was held on 15th February 2025, at the Shaharanpur unit, with more than 600 attendees. Distinguished guests included Sri. O.P. Singh (Dy. CC, Saharanpur), Sri. Sushil Kumar (DCO, Saharanpur), Dr. B.D. Singh (Ex. Scientist, Breeder), Vikas Singh & Neeraj Singh. Similar to the Bulandshahr event, the Shaharanpur gathering featured technical sessions on spring planting, ratoon management, and variety replacements. Self-Help Groups were also honored for their outstanding contribution to agriculture.
Both events provided farmers with crucial knowledge, showcased innovative sugarcane farming techniques, and facilitated networking with industry experts and vendors, strengthening the agricultural community in the region.
