The Brazilian Embassy in New Delhi with support of Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers (SIAM) is organising “Ethanol Experience in Brazil and India: Debunking Myths” webinar on 16 March 2022 at 5:30 PM IST to dispel some of the misleading myths related to the ethanol economy. The webinar is being organised as part of a series of events to commemorate 200 Years of Brazil’s Independence in 2022.
The benefits of using biofuels to decarbonise the transportation sector as well as increase domestic energy security have long been known and discussed in the global policy stakeholders’ circles. As a result, there has been a renewed momentum in the last decade to pursue public policies to increase the uptake of these renewable fuels in the mobility matrix.
Thus, the time is now opportune to use the synergies of the collective experience of India and Brazil to fill the knowledge gaps and debunk some myths related to the production and use of ethanol in their respective transportation matrices.
In this context, “Ethanol Experience in Brazil and India: Debunking Myths” webinar will bring together two policy and technical experts from each country to address the general doubts of the public regarding the ethanol supply chain.
The audience can submit their questions or doubts about ethanol production and use by email to ethanolmythsdelhi@itamaraty.gov.br, which will be compiled and taken up by the panelists during the webinar. Kindly include in the email your name, designation and organisation along with the question/doubt for our panelists. The deadline to submit the questions is 9 March 2022.
