Work on revival of Chhata sugar mill begins

Mathura, Uttar Pradesh: The revival work of the Chhata sugar mill has begun with the stone laying ceremony of the work done by the sugarcane minister Chaudhari Laxminarayan, reports Live Hindustan.

Starting the sugar mill will benefit both farmers as well generate employment for youth, he said.

We will set up an electricity generation facility and other projects along with the sugarcane crushing at the mill, he said. The mill is expected to work at 3000 TCD capacity at an initial level which will be later on increased to 5000 TCD, he added.

We expect that the farmers in the region will provide quality cane to the mill for crushing, said the minister.
