Deoria, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked sugar mills to make payment of sugarcane farmers within the time-limit. He was speaking at an inaugural function of a series of projects in Deoria district via video conference on the birth anniversary of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
Yogi also directed the administration and sugarcane department to look into the issue of Pratapur sugar mill dues of farmers.
Commenting on the recent agitations against the farm bill, he said, “Some selfish people are confusing the farmers and are using them for their own benefit. The bills passed by the government are beneficial for the farmers.”
